The proprietary DP-Axial impeller design pumps in both directions and induces a vigorous top-to-bottom turnover of a tank in high viscosity fluids. This allows use of large diameter impellers which almost fill the tank in both baffled and non-baffled applications. Viscous material cannot bypass the mixing zone and the agitator cannot “cut a hole” in the material because the entire diameter of the vessel is swept by the impeller.
When appropriate, the axial impeller design provides additional shear to the product to aid in mixing high viscosity materials.

Multiple impellers can be utilized in a tank to provide a top to bottom mixing zone for select high viscosity applications as an alternative to a double helix impeller design.
